The Integrated Teacher Training Scheme (ITTS) has been formed to create competent, skilled teachers of change ringing

To train new ringers we need teachers with the ability to successfully convert recruits into capable ringers. The ITTS has been created to provide training in the teaching of bell handling and elementary change ringing to a whole new generation of ringing teachers.

ITTS is the training scheme of the Association of Ringing Teachers, sponsored by the Ringing Foundation and supported by the Central Council.

About the Scheme

ITTS uses of up-to-date research based methods in the areas of skills acquisition, teaching skills and coaching skills with a modular learning programme, interactive learning website, mentoring and an accreditation programme.

The project responds to the objectives to ensure best practice, to encourage consistency of practice, to create both training and educational modules (including educational material), to allow for performance mentoring and to result in teacher accreditation.

In order to start the ITTS, you must go through the pre-pathway stages such as getting a mentor, recruit and attending a Module 1 course. You can join today to start your progress to accreditation!
