The profile of the Foundation was well to the fore at the Central Council conference ‘Change Ringing for the Future’ held at Wellesbourne, Warwickshire on Nov 12th.
Chairman Brian Meads co-presented (with Nigel Herriott from The Ringing World) three discussion sessions on the theme ‘How can ringing organise itself for a sustainable future’. Directors Roger Booth and Claire Bell also participated during the day.
A display detailing the current work and future plans of the Foundation was prominent in the main lecture hall and the ITTS featured in a large and detailed display in the dining area. At the start of the final plenary session Brian presented Aled Jones with his certificate as an accredited ITTS teacher. Six students, including Aled, have now successfully completed both Modules 1 and 2 of the ITTS, and are the first to become accredited ITTS teachers. We are confident that many more are to follow.
The Foundation was very pleased to be able to participate in this conference, and looks forward to doing what it can to help the Central Council work for a vibrant future for Change Ringing.
