Our Web of 2011

The online offering of The Ringing Foundation has been hugely expanded this year, and there’s lots more in 2012!

This year

During 2011 our aim has been to increase the amount of information available and to raise the presence of The Ringing Foundation among the ringing community. We now provide comprehensive details of the Ringing Foundation itself, the projects we fund and how to apply, the Integrated Teacher Training Scheme and every course in addition to our regular news updates. We hope you find the site useful and easy to use and that you continue to visit for further news and information.

Since launching our new website in May, we’ve had 12,000 page views across the site, with the About Us section proving the most popular. We continue to rank highly in search terms for ‘Ringing Foundation’, ‘ITTS’ as well, interestingly, for the names of our Directors. We are grateful to Roger Bailey’s ringing.info, the CCCBR and The Ringing World from whose websites our homepage receives a very large number of visits. We are always pleased to see The Ringing Foundation listed on tower, district or association links pages, so please do add us if you can. For our News and ITTS pages we also have a lot of our visitors referred through Bell Ringing Web, and our Twitter and Facebook pages and our Email updates. We’re also really pleased to have had so many of you follow, like and sign-up this year – thank you! Finally, our top pages across the site include…

Next year

We’ve achieved a lot already, but there is plenty more to bring you! Our plans for 2012 include the launch of a new format recruitment website and the addition of recruitment advice and resources to this website, plus resources for organisers of young ringers groups nationwide and better access for our members. This is all in addition to more news updates, reports from every ITTS course and the continued addition of information across the site.

We hope you’ll join us again in the New Year, but in the mean time you may want to keep in touch by following us on Twitter, ‘Liking’ us on Facebook or signing up for our free Email updates.

Happy Christmas!
