The Ringing Foundation welcomes and encourages applications for grant funding to support projects that meet with our aims.
The Foundation acts primarily as a fundraiser and then facilitator in providing ‘seed corn’ grants to support projects, but we normally expect projects to become self-supporting. We are primarily interested in funding ‘people projects’. We do not give funds to projects to re-hang or augment rings of bells. We may, however, provide grants towards teaching equipment and public relations materials depending on the nature of the application.
The projects we support must relate to at least one of our aims: to raise the public awareness and understanding of change ringing, to aid the recruitment of ringers, especially young ringers, and to enhance the quality and quantity of training through the ITTS structured learning process.
Applications
Applicants should formulate their project, with a view to the specific grant programmes in our Business Plan for which budgets have been set aside but we also welcome additional innovative ideas. Applicants should also consult our terms and conditions of grant, and ensure that they are happy to accept these terms. The Foundation reserves the right to add special conditions, specific to individual projects.
The application form below should be completed along with a signed hard-copy of Terms and Conditions. This will then be discussed at our next quarterly meeting, after which you will be informed of the Board’s decision.
The Ringing Foundation will be looking for projects to be well defined and well managed. We will want to evaluate the costs and compare these with the proposed benefits. Costs need to be realistic, and while projects which can identify sources of matched funding are more likely to receive funding, the Ringing Foundation aims to provide support to projects where the grant will make a real difference.
Application Form
NOTE: This form must be submitted along with a hard-copy of the Terms and Conditions to be sent to The Ringing Foundation Ltd., 10 Willingham Road, Lea, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, DN21 5EH.
